Marjorie Levinson lecture and seminar

Professor Marjorie Levinson will be visiting the UT English Department on March 29 and 30, 2012. Huetwell Professor at Michigan, Levinson is the author of three books on Romantic poetry, numerous articles and a famous essay on Wordsworth’s “Tintern Abbey.”

On Thursday, March 29 at 3:30 pm in McClung 1210, she will deliver a lecture entitled, “Notes & Queries on Names & Numbers.”

The following Friday, March 30, she will lead a seminar on the theme of “Historicizing New Historicism” from 12:30 to 2 pm.

Kat Powell, graduate student at The University of Tennessee, will present her paper, “Picturing Economic Tragedy: Engendering Representation in Charlotte Riddell’s Austin Friars” on Tuesday, March 13th, 2012.
